Hi ZaInT, of course bare metal will stay :) The tutorial for bare metal that is at the beginning of this thread will be still valid. The main relay binary is the same as in the docker. It just needs a few tweaks and a link to the sever download.
Next Monday we will upgrade the admin panel to show custom relays option for everyone. We advise to start the docker (which is already deployed and a tutorial will be also ready on Monday) on 3 different ports at the same time: 443, 80, 5938. After adding a relay server using the admin panel...
Hello,
If anyone is experiencing random video/mouse stuttering on Android devices (after connecting via P2P on batteries) this is caused by automatic Wifi/LTE module sleep (when there is very low transfer). In old Android releases it was possible to enter Wifi settings and disable automatic...
After an internal meeting we have decided to unlock "custom relays" option for all users (with some limitations comparing to commercial/enterprise versions).
All our current relays run on Debian/Ubuntu (most on Debian) so we are sure everyone will be happy with the performance when running a...
On our side it starts OK in portrait and after rotating it closes. And this is not a crash. The app just gets stopped by the Android system.
Starting in landscape causes the app to close just after start.
Hello ZaInT,
To speed things up we will first upload a pre-release version of private relays (binaries for Windows and Linux).
After setting your server you will need to create a relayinfo.txt file with IP:PORT.
We will post details soon + a link to a test version (v1.14.0).
In the final...
Hi Everyone,
We had to release an urgent fix for v1.13.4:
- HOTFIX: Fixed problem with P2P streaming when data is corrupted during connection (infinite "Synchronization" message)
The Android app has been uploaded to Google Play Store and awaits publishing (the v1.32 APK is available in the...
Hi Everyone,
First and foremost we wish everyone a great and peaceful 2024 year.
We are pleased to announce that a big update for Remotly PC/Android is ready.
In this update we are introducing Adaptive Frame Rate (AFR) support that significantly reduces GPU usage on encode and decode side...
Hi Gilbert, we are still investigating this problem. We hope to find a fix before v1.31 is released next week.
Can you please check and let us know if 600dpi works for you?
I will forward it to the responsible person ASAP. All files are transferred using end-to-end encryption. First they are encrypted using the AES key used for encrypting the current remote session (audio/video/mouse/keyboard etc.). Next the transfer is done using TLS.
Hi spinacz, what is the setup of the display/monitors on the PC from which you are connecting? Is this one display? What is the resolution? Is the video image aspect ratio ok?
Hi rrrrex, we are trying to fix the high dpi crash problem for v1.31 but with no luck :( The funny thing is that when setting dpi to 600dp it works. When setting 500dp or 720dp it crashes. But this is not a normal crash. The app just closes as Android sends it the onPause event without any...
Hi Herman. Yes, there will be a separate version of this feature for free/home use. There will be even a version for Windows soon. Although the enterprise version is much more advanced and allows to use multiple relays selected dynamically. We will let you know as soon as these functions go live.
