[UPDATE 2025] Setting up your own cloud instance (relay server) with optional TLS and SSL certificate.

You can use any port of course. But from our tests 443 works in most situations. Still some network inspection tools may be picky about the network data that is sent to the relay. That's why we will add the TLS wrapped version.

[UPDATE 2025] Setting up your own cloud instance (relay server) with optional TLS and SSL certificate.

Oh and by the way the file transfer in Remotly already uses this method. The ft.remotly.com relay is used for this and transfers files and clipboard end to end encrypted by TLS and additionally AES256.

[UPDATE 2025] Setting up your own cloud instance (relay server) with optional TLS and SSL certificate.

As for NOC flagging we know that the problem exists in one place. The relay does not use an SSL/TLS certificate as it would require a domain with a certificate to even start the relay. The relay is just a pipe for transporting AES256 encrypted data. It has no access to the symmetric key so an...

[UPDATE 2025] Setting up your own cloud instance (relay server) with optional TLS and SSL certificate.

Sorry ZainT! I thought you were to use the docker version 🫤 I will ask someone from our team to either add a link to the bare metal version with the relay in the panel or I will paste a link here shortly.

[UPDATE 2025] Setting up your own cloud instance (relay server) with optional TLS and SSL certificate.

Hi ZainT! You don't need any links for the docker version. Plese use the short tutorial above (it's very simple if you have docker already installed, just 2 command lines). I guess your employers NOC does not flag Anydesk after recent attack on them where the attackers got unattended access to...

Is there a way to... help?

Hi hikokun! Sorry for the late response (we are working 24/7 on a new big update). Does the game you are using remotely show a mouse cursor? Or does it support touch screen and you want to "pass through" the clicks from the mobile screen as they would be pressed on the remote touch screen?

[UPDATE 2025] Setting up your own cloud instance (relay server) with optional TLS and SSL certificate.

Hi ZaInT, of course bare metal will stay :) The tutorial for bare metal that is at the beginning of this thread will be still valid. The main relay binary is the same as in the docker. It just needs a few tweaks and a link to the sever download.

[UPDATE 2025] Setting up your own cloud instance (relay server) with optional TLS and SSL certificate.

Next Monday we will upgrade the admin panel to show custom relays option for everyone. We advise to start the docker (which is already deployed and a tutorial will be also ready on Monday) on 3 different ports at the same time: 443, 80, 5938. After adding a relay server using the admin panel...

Random P2P stuttering when Android device is running on batteries.

Hello, If anyone is experiencing random video/mouse stuttering on Android devices (after connecting via P2P on batteries) this is caused by automatic Wifi/LTE module sleep (when there is very low transfer). In old Android releases it was possible to enter Wifi settings and disable automatic...

    Landscape mode crashes

On our side it starts OK in portrait and after rotating it closes. And this is not a crash. The app just gets stopped by the Android system. Starting in landscape causes the app to close just after start.
