Booter service has nothing to do with GPU-P. It would also have happened our side if it did. We are testing on 6 VMs with GPU-P at the moment and do not see this problem on v1.33.
EDIT: It must be related with this crash so partially it might by related with GPU-P.
We will check this again. We have already changed this for the mobile app after our last conversation. You can always switch between game/desktop mode even when a game was detected.
I have changed LastUser value by hand to make it case sensitive. Remotly.exe starts anyway. The difference is that I see two different devices as "ready to connect" one is the booter and the other being full version. But it does not prevent Remotly.exe from starting.
Something else is preventing...
We will remove case sensitivity for user name anyway. Your last post is good news (at least partially) but we still need to make all this rock solid before moving to v2.0.
For example this problem with remotly_boot_svc.exe not starting should not happen anymore.
A new (and probably final) v1.33...
I will try to replicate this on win srv VM. Yes, not case sensitive for the system but not for Remotly... But if LastUser is in fact "administrator" and Remotly.exe user/owner also "administrator" in task manager it should work properly.
Is LastUser also "administrator" and not "Administrator"? Remotly.exe is not starting as it is waiting for a hand-over. Full version will not start properly as it waits for booter to close (it is the same device - same Connection ID).
Something is seriously wrong. Your current logged in user is also Administrator? Because it looks like Remotly.exe is not running under Administrator user. Can you check in task manager what is the user/owner for remotly_boot.exe and Remotly.exe? Are these the same users/accounts/owners?
I have no idea why you can have remotly_boot.exe and Remotly.exe (UI) running at the same time. remotly_boot.exe closes as soon as full version is started and hand over happens (reconnect when connected at that time).
Can you check/search registry (regedit) for "LastUser" entry and check if...
Dear Users,
Please be informed that if you don't see your unattended devices as "Ready to connect" this might have happened after todays server restart.
Please forgive us for this inconvenience. We are working on a fix to this problem, so that it will no longer happen in the future (it will be...
I still need to dig deeper into this...
"1. remotly.exe is visible and running in task manager, runs under administrator account. booter process runs".
By booter process do you mean remotly_boot_svc.exe or remotly_boot.exe. This information is very important as remotly_boot.exe hands-over to...
I still don't get it with the "no UI" problem.
Summarizing:
1. Is Remotly.exe visible and running in task manager (details)
2. If point 1 is true, what is the user/owner visible in task manager (details) for Remotly.exe
3. Is remotly_boot.exe running at this point
4. Is there a Remotly icon...
