Privacy in Game Mode

First hi all, just found this software and im hyped to try everything out.

The problem i have

When i connect to my laptop using android tablet/phone, and when i go in to gaming mode, the laptop screen dosnt go black. When i connect to the laptop without any games running everything works great, black screen, no audio. Works like it is setup in the settings.
But when there is an open game, or if i open a game through the android client, the laptop screen comes back on and stays that way.
Am i missing something in the connection settings or?
I have hardware accel on and my dedicated gpu is chosen for use (nvidia).
I also tryed to run an virtual desktop on the windows laptop, and then chose that virtual desk on the phone with CTRL+Win+Right Arrow key, but when the desktop switches the black screen goes away again.

Would be nice if it can stay black in game mode

Hi IceOmny,

Welcome to the forum and sorry the late response.

Currently privacy in Game Mode does not work for games running in full screen exclusive mode.
It does work for all games running in full screen borderless windowed mode though.

We might add privacy for full screen exclusive mode but there is another workaround which works much better and works in all situations.
You can install Remotly with Remotly Virtual Display driver (and also Virtual Audio Driver).
Next please check the Settings->Host section:

Select your high performance GPU that will be used for "Remotly Virtual Display (1)".

Next check Windows Display Settings:

Make sure to select "Show only on 2" where "2" is the display which is rendered by Remotly Virtual Display driver.
Please MAKE SURE to have Remotly running (and that you can connect remotely to this PC) before selecting this option as your primary display will be turned off and will not show anything.
You must connect remotely to have access to your desktop which is now rendered on the 2nd virtual display.

This way you get the best possible privacy mode:
1. Physical display is disabled and does not consume energy
2. GPU does not need to render the privacy mode blackout rectangle

Make sure to lock physical keyboard/mouse connected to this host using Remotly settings for this device:

You should also disable "Turn off or dim remote display" as it is not needed in this case and will consume GPU power unnecessarily.
Muting remote audio is also recommended (if you are not using Remotly Virtual Audio device which is also recommended in this case).

We hope this clarifies things and please let us know in case you have any questions!
