Do I understand correctly that you are connecting from fast 1080ti (client) to slow intel (host)???
Just asking to make sure you are connecting to the the SLOWER computer.

You can check igpu driver version in (start Device Manager and under Device Adapters right click on "Intel HD Graphics", properties, driver, driver date).

The glitch on the screen you have provided looks 99% like a decoder glitch from Intel with old drivers.
Please try to change to H264 from HEVC on the host in Settings->Video: Hardware acceleration (encoding)

4 months have passed. The problem still hasn't gone away. When switching to game mode, the cursor disappears. Even on the Windows desktop. At the same time, shortcuts are highlighted and clicks are counted.
I connect from Win 8.1 to my home PC Win 10 home.
Playing without a cursor or outside of game mode is problematic.

Hi FILIN, we were not able to reproduce this problem in our labs but we must find a solution or a way to make this happen on our side.

Do you have some custom/non standard cursor shape or size? If yes please let us know how the cursor looks.

In desktop mode the host (in your case Win 10 Home) sends the cursor shape to the client (Win 8.1) not including it in the video. The client replaces it's system cursor to this cursor.
This removes the cursor lag feeling when connecting from far away (like other continent etc.).

In game mode the host (in your case Win 10 Home) adds the cursor to the video image. The client hides it's system cursor to prevent two cursors from being visible at the same time.
So if you do not see this cursor in the video and the system cursor is hidden you will not see the cursor.
This is the problem here. We need to understand why the cursor (which should be added to the video image) is not there. First idea is that it was not properly rendered on the video before being encoded.
