Right now, the authorized device is added only via the dialog box that pops up. this creates two problems
1. the dialog box disappears after a while
2. run in booter mode (i.e. no remotly instance in user account), the dialog box does not pop up at all.
Suggestions, list the devices that have...
client windows laptop, two finger scrolling on touchpad does not do anything on host. if this is not by design, can you add the function? making scrolling a lot easier.
still have problem with booter process after server is up and running for a while (can be days, and during which use computer console too). therefore, difficult to replicate. however, eventually it happens.
The direct phenomenon is blank screen after connection, and have to reboot to get it...
Attempted to run in hyper-v VM with GPU-P enabled. after installation, when GUI was loading, VM crashed, and VM always crashed during booting. in previous conversation, I was told that this is not supported at least for some GPU.
without GPU-P, installed and ran fine. but all hardware...
In windows 11, when login with admin account to do the installation, booter process is enabled -- i.e. access to windows login-screen without user login
in Windows Server 2019, when login with admin account to do the installation, the booter process is not enabled. need to right click the...
It appears that remotly would not reconnect or re-login after losing internet connection for a while, when running booter process only.
does not seem to be the case when running in user account.
Use booter process only (i.e. remotly does not run in user's account) and remotely virtual display driver installed. when the monitor is turned off, get blank screen and failed to connect msg, most of the time. sometimes, for a short period after rebooting, can connect.
works fine with a...
this has happened multiple times. connect only to the booter instance to login to normal user account. remotly not running in the user's account. all work fine.
after losing internet for a while and internet is restored, can't connect to the booter instance anymore. it still shows ready to...
Since the booter mode (i.e. administrator instance) can use GPU now, I only use it and do not have remotly run in user's account. however, file transfer is not possible in this setup. also, would highly recommend to add a dedicated file transfer GUI.
this is after reboot, no user is logged in yet.
after login with "administrator" account, it becomes green for connection.
then, logout from "administrator" account, it remains green.
v1.26
Uninstall previous remotly, reboot, install remotly in administrator account, login to remotly account, set "start with windows" off then turn on again, reboot.
Without any user login, "Computer/Administrator" appears offline. requires login to administrator account on server first...
Before 1.24 (or 1.23?), as computer boots to the windows login screen, there was an admin instances (boot process) that allows connection to the login screen.
it seems it is not the case anymore with the new version. at the windows login screen, the admin instance is offline. client not able...
some of the background remotly processes seem to be always active, take up a tiny bit of CPU time. esp. remotly winlogon service always active and consuming 0.2% 1% CPU time all the time. is this expected? asking per laptop battery life.
not sure if this is unique again to my machine or if this is a concern.
intel iGPU+Nvidia dGPU on server. when connecting via remotly, task manager iGPU "3D" stays above 40% (40-60%). Encoding usage only a few %. this is the case regardless which GPU is assigned for encoding.
if remotly starts without network connection, it would logout account after a few retries. user now needs to re-type username and password after network connection is restored.
Please make it keep trying periodically if without network connection. at least no need to retype username/password.
In remote session, cut/paste folder does not work (on server, not between server/client). remotly opens handles to the folder, hence prevents cut from happpening. tried two computers, the same. cut/paste file works fine. drag/drop folder also works fine
In one of my laptops -- Thinkpad P1, i7-8850H, Nvidia P1000, with Remotly simply running in the background, not in remote session, video play back has frequent fraction-of-second freezing, several times a minute consistently, to the point video is not watchable. It happens for all videos...
