Direct connection via VPN

My team has one more question. Can you somehow run arp -a on the mobile (with VPN enabled) and let us know if you see the local network IP of the PC where Remotly server(s) is(are) running. If it's there then we will use arp IPs from the same local network to perform handshakes with all Remotly servers and use the server public IP and not ISP(VPN). The problem with Direct Connection in current version is that these public addresses are different (they should be the same).

And some other network viewer? I see some apps that show other devices in the local network.

well, i able to ping it.

I found a app that do a icmp ping (tcp) a ip range. it work, i able to ping my local network devices.

But it not arp of course...

Just a idea... The clients are know own internal addresses. Why not send it to each other via management server? and all connected devices are know each other IP adresses. If one of update, it send again via management server.

Android devices not need to send it, because they only clients.

We must first detect that the server is in the same network as the client and then make sure the management server assigns the same global IP to both devices (not like now when this problem occurs - they are different).

Super strange. It shows as clean in defender here locally. I think they flag files that are obfuscated.
Hello there,

Side note:

Bitdefender answer me, they fixed the false positive thing:

Thank you for your feedback and for your patience.

A fix for ATC detection (false-positive) will be available with the next updates.
Please make sure your console is up to date.

If the problem still persists after the next update, please let us know and send us a new screenshot with the detection.

Many thanks and best regards,
madealina

Hi vamp,

The team is working on it. But the solution will be rather advanced. There will be a dropdown list where you will be able to select which network interface should be used by the client during connection. We think this will be the most robust solution even if someone will have 4 network interfaces.

Hi vamp,

This fix is scheduled for v1.12.1. We will send a link to a test version as soon as it is ready.
